Orchestrating Change
"Great cities have great arts. Creating the new Symphony Center is Atlanta's first great civic endeavor of the 21st century." —Arthur M. Blank, Symphony Center Campaign Chair
A thriving arts community contributes immeasurably to Atlanta’s economic and social vitality. The arts also inspire and engage young people in ways that spark academic and social success.
The Foundation is committed to the development of a new, world-class home for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO). As part of that commitment, it seeks to leverage its investment, enrich the arts community, broaden audiences and provide a vibrant, inclusive gathering place for people throughout our region.
The Foundation also supports such programs as the ASO’s Talent Development Program, which provides musically talented African-American and Latino students weekly lessons and mentoring relationships with ASO musicians, as well as the opportunity to participate in master classes, community outreach programs, and music camps.
Every dollar contributed to nonprofit arts organizations generates 13 additional dollars of economic impact
