Susan Bertonaschi
Program Officer, Better Beginnings

Ms. Susan Bertonaschi brings her passion for child development to the Foundation, with over a decade of experience dedicated to improve the lives of children in a variety of direct service and policy planning positions in Georgia and her hometown of Pittsburgh PA.  Prior to joining the foundation, Susan worked in the Georgia Department of Human Resources' Division of Public Health as a program supervisor, manager, and developmental health coordinator. In this role, she was responsible for supporting and developing a suite of public health programs designed to improve the health and developmental outcomes of Georgia’s youngest children.

Ms. Bertonaschi’s experience also includes positions as a team leader, service coordinator, and healthy child development consultant for early intervention services at Alliance for Infants and Toddlers, Inc.; service manager at Mercy Behavioral Health; and caseworker at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburgh, PA. She has an M.S. in Child Development/Child Care from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Social Work from the California University of Pennsylvania.
